IT Manager

Don Carlton Auto Group is seeking an experienced IT manager for our family owned and operated dealerships. The successful candidate will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures necessary to an IT management role.  They will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The IT manager performs a variety of tasks and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

The successful candidate will:

·         Manage the information technology department. Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the dealership's IT needs.

·         Ensure proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades.

·         Help the dealership's operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency.

·         Ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs.

·         Manage and maintain the dealership's communications systems

·         Act as the main point-of-contact with various technology vendors

Minimum Qualifications

 

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalency and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences

  • Preference will be given to candidates with 7 years of IT experience.
  • Preference given to applicants with automotive experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services across multiple locations and multiple platforms.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation in both physical and cloud environments.
  • The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including Server and Office, PC hardware and software.
  • The successful candidate will have proven Customer Service experience
  • The preferred candidate will have a proven ability in creating and maintaining working relationships across an organization and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with team members, management, other university departments, and end users.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have relevant Microsoft Certifications.
  • The successful candidate will have IT experience in a large business operation with budgetary experience.

  • Experience with automotive software such as Dealertrack, V-Auto, Vinsolutions and others is highly desired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn the Acura product line and vehicle features to assist customers in finding the right vehicle for them;
  • Listen to customers to determine their needs and budget;

  • Take customers on test drives and explain vehicle features and options;

  • Attend sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer;
  • Update customers in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and complete a daily work plan;
  • Understand not only the Acura product but also features of competing brands so that you can explain the differences to customers;
  • Maintain an ongoing client relationship and open communication with our customers to promote repeat business;
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department;
  • Build a life-long relationship with customers so that they give you referrals and continue will come back to the dealership when it's time for their next car.

QUALIFICATIONS The ideal Luxury Automotive Sales Consultant candidate will have at least one year of proven car sales performance record (any industry), professional appearance, outgoing personality, and a willingness to continuously prospect in order to regularly exceed the minimum sales quota. • Neat, clean, and professional appearance • Able to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited direct supervision • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills • Impressive work-ethics

Job Responsibilities:

  • Keeps vehicles prepared to show
  • Pulls cars from inventory when needed
  • Fills deliveries or demos with gas
  • Washes cars if needed
  • Takes sold/repaired inventory to make ready/prep center
  • Keeps all cars showroom ready
  • Transports cars to clients or to offsite locations
  • Helps perform physical inventory monthly
  • Attends department meetings as appropriate

  • Delivers serviced vehicles to their owners
